My Favorite Snack Is Popcorn

At the movies, at home, the giant bag from the grocery store that is too yellow, tastes stale and sounds squeaky, the boujee kind served at wine bars, and even the caramel corn in Cracker Jacks. Imagine my delight in learning about the concept of “popcorning” ideas. It had me at hello.

Ideas = popcorn kernels.

Kernels + heat + oil = kaboom!

How did I, the self-proclaimed queen of analogy and metaphor not see it sooner? Those little golden nuggets, so hard to crack, closed off and inedible blast open into something light and delicious, easy to eat and surprisingly versatile.

KABOOM!

That is exactly what I love to do most – take kernels of ideas, add excitement, intuition and thought and watch what happens. Ideas fly everywhere and not one of them is bad! I gather them up, add some flavor and start taste testing.

Well, now I refer to that part of my process as popcorning and it’s arguably the single most important part of what I offer. Transform inedible kernels into a versatile, consumable snack. I like mine with sea salt and truffle oil, that’s my brand. Curated after a lot of batches and even more taste testing.
